Officials have been searching for a suspect and a witness following an alleged aggravated assault in Montgomery County.
Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said the aggravated assault took place in the 2800 block of Cooper Creek Road in Woodlawn.
According to reports, deputies responded to a call just after 9 a.m. Tuesday at that location about a man who was bleeding and going in and out of consciousness.
Authorities said the person who called 911 also drove the victim to a gas station on Dover Road.
Once there, the victim was able to get medical aid from deputies and EMS. He was then taken to a hospital in Nashville by helicopter. Reports stated he appeared to have knife wounds.
Officials said they’re searching for the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Dustin Michael Myer who’s been described as standing around 5’9’’ tall and weighing approximately 200 pounds. Myer has brown hair and brown eyes.
Reports stated Myer has an existing warrant for aggravated domestic assault.
Authorities have also been searching for a witness, who was identified as 29-year-old Marissa Shay Denton. She’s described as standing around 5’2’’ tall and weighing approximately 148 pounds. Denton has brown or strawberry blonde hair and blue eyes. Officials said Denton has an existing warrant for reckless endangerment.
Both Denton and Myer have been considered armed and dangerous. It’s possible they’re traveling in a green 2000 Jeep Cherokee with a Tennessee license plate number of 1A01V8.
