Police have arrested two suspects after several women were robbed at gunpoint in downtown Nashville.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said no one was hurt and they were able to make a quick arrest because the victims gave officers a solid suspect description.
Around 2:15a.m. Saturday, two or three women were in their car parked at the lot on Church Street and 3rd Avenue in downtown when a man with a silver revolver opened their rear door.
According to the charging documents, the suspect took a grey Kate Spade wallet, an i-Phone, and a Nine West wallet from the victims and then fled.
Police spotted the getaway vehicle not far away on Gay Street and attempted to approach the suspects.
They reportedly started walking away and police pursued them.
Marquis Gardner and Jasha Lewis are now in custody and were charged with aggravated robbery.
Police said Gardner admitted to yielding the revolver, and Lewis said she drove the van.
The stolen items were returned to the victims, according to the documents.
