TBI Warns Public Of Fake, Deadly Pills

Posted

Officials have released an urgent warning from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation after another batch of fake pills has hit the streets, and they could be deadly.

Drug agents said dealers have been selling counterfeit painkillers, and they look like the real thing.

Specifically, they said there's a spike in fake Percocet pills, which have been marked to look like the brand name drug.

Instead of containing the narcotic oxycodone, the pills have actually been made in makeshift labs with Fentanyl.

Authorities warned users the pills can be 50 times as potent as heroin and are deadly at high doses.
