The teen who brutally beat a high school classmate has been sentenced.
Mikal Ladd was caught on camera attacking the victim in Murfreesboro in January.
His sentencing hearing was held at 9 a.m. Friday, in which he was sentenced to one year in jail and six years of probation.
Ladd admitted to the crime and even told NewsChannel 5's Nick Beres he wasn't sorry.
However, in court Friday, Ladd took the stand and offered an apology.
His family and the victim’s parents also took the stand to speak during the hearing.
Ladd had been facing up to six years in jail.
