A man from Texas was arrested in Hickman County after authorities found cocaine in his vehicle.
The incident happened around 6:10 a.m. Wednesday when agents with the 21st Judicial District Drug Task Force Interstate Criminal Enforcement Team conducted a roadside investigation.
The investigation stemmed from a traffic stop that had happened due to traffic violations.
Reports stated agents stopped a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck on Interstate 40 in Hickman County. They were given consent to search the vehicle.
According to reports, they found two kilograms of cocaine and $75,400 in cash. The drugs and money were found in the passenger and driver’s seat of the truck.
Bruce Wayne Daniel, of Houston, was the only person in the vehicle.
Officials confirmed he was taken into custody on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to sell or deliver. Reports stated additional charges were pending.
