Police have issued a warning to shoppers after a group of alleged thieves snatched a woman’s purse from a parking lot in Wilson County.
The incident was reported Sunday night at a Walmart in Lebanon.
Officials with Lebanon police said a woman was loading groceries into her car when a group of guys walked up and snatched her bag from the driver’s seat.
The woman was not hurt, but police said the suspects were reportedly armed. They fled the scene in a gold colored sedan.
Officers said they are working to get surveillance footage in an effort to identify the suspects.
Police urged for everyone to be aware of their surroundings, especially this time of year.
