Halloween celebrations started early in Franklin where thousands came out for the annual Pumpkinfest.
Pumpkins big and small filled the city's Main Street on Saturday.
Those in attendance also enjoyed costume contests, pumpkin carving, live music, crafts, and plenty of food.
Organizers said the event has grown each year.
“When we used to do it, there was no one downtown, half the stores were empty, and we did it to get people in the heart of our community,” Mary Pearce said. “That problem is solved. We've got people downtown all the time.”
Around 60,000 people stopped by the event Saturday.
