Thousands of people came together in Bellevue to light candles in memory of loved ones.
The 28th annual candlelight service happened at the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The ceremony began as a way to remember the lives of loved ones lost each year.
Many people said this event has kicked off the holiday season for their families.
Volunteers helped light about 14,000 candles.
"I always feel like their spirit is kind of hovering. That's what it always seems like. It’s just real moving. It’s a real blessing,” said Shirley McNabbe.
The candlelight service happened at six different Harpeth Hills cemetery locations in Middle Tennessee.
