Officials with the Columbia Police Department had said they were looking for the person who stole a garbage bag filled with toys; however, they have since said the incident was a misunderstanding.
The toys were part of the Toys for Tots fundraiser, and it was believed a woman stole them from the Walgreens on Nashville Highway.
On Saturday, authorities confirmed the incident was a misunderstanding. The woman was identified by police, and they confirmed she's a representative for Toys for Tots and was picking up the toys from all drop off locations.
