A Franklin man helped safely locate a missing teen from Florida.
Officials with the Franklin Police Department said the man spotted the teen in Georgia at an Atlanta Greyhound station. The man recognized the teen from a Franklin police news release and called officers in Williamson County.
That’s when the teen boarded a bus to Huntsville, Alabama where he was found with a family he had recently met.
Authorities said the family did not know the teen’s age or that he was missing.
“A well informed public can make a world of difference in cases like this,” said Lieutenant Charles Warner, of the Franklin Police Department. He credited the traveling Franklin man with helping police safely find the teen.
