Authorities confirmed a semi hit a pole, knocking down a live wire and shutting down a local road.
The incident happened around 1 p.m. Thursday on Whites Creek Pike at Dickerson Pike.
Reports stated a live wire was on top of the semi truck. Emergency crews were on the scene with officials from the Nashville Electric Service.
Some at the scene said this was the second day in a row this type of incident happened at that location.
Whites Creek Pike has been shut down in both directors.
