Tennessee State University’s award winning New Direction Gospel Choir celebrated its 20th anniversary with a reunion concert.
Current and past members sang in front of a packed audience on campus Sunday night.
The choir sang some gospel favorites, as well as new songs.
The purpose of the event was to raise money for current gospel ministry students. The money raised at Sunday night's concert will go back into the ministry to cover expenses for the choir.
NewsChannel 5 attended the final rehearsal Sunday afternoon, hours before the concert kicked off, to get a peek at the choir in action.
