UberHEALTH Offers Flu Shots To Subscribers

Posted

Getting a flu shot was a lot more convenient in Nashville on Thursday with the implementation of UberHEALTH, a program that sends nurses out with Uber drivers to deliver wellness kits to Uber subscribers, as well as administer flu shots.

“It’s fun to be able to deliver a great service to someone at the touch of a button.” Luke Marklin, general manager of Uber Nashville, explained.

The program only lasted for four hours, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., but in that time numerous people became vaccinated for this season’s flu.

Uber subscribers needed to open up their app and select UberHEALTH. Within minutes, an Uber would arrive at their location and a nurse would deliver them a wellness kit.

The wellness kit cost Uber subscribers $10, but with that kit you received a free flu shot for up to 10 people at your location.

One man who received the flu shot through UberHEALTH, Brian Bivens, only needed a few minutes during his lunch hour to get the task done.

“Easiest flu shot I’ve ever had.” Bivens said.

While the Uber program only lasted one day, medical clinics throughout Middle Tennessee have flu vaccines available every day of the week.

Uber plans to repeat the program next year.
