A former UPS worker has been arrested after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of iPhones.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, Jerome Hooks was taken into custody Thursday and charged with theft.
Hooks has been accused of stealing phones from the UPS customer Care Center on Whites Creek Pike
Police and UPS security reviewed surveillance video from the business and reportedly saw the 25-year-old taking 10 iPhones from boxes he was sorting through to be shipped out to stores.
Hooks admitted to taking the phones and hiding them in his pockets, the police report states.
He also said he put two of the iPhones in the trash can to try and get rid of them. The estimated value of the phones was said to be around $7,000.
Hooks was booked on a $25,000 bond.
