Police have identified a man who was fatally wounded in a shooting on White Bridge Pike.
The shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Waffle House in the 400 block of White Bridge Pike.

Authorities identified the man who was killed as 36-year-old Robert Louis Saine.
According to reports Saine went to the restaurant with a female friend in separate vehicles. When the woman went inside to place an order, police said Saine waited in his car.
Reports stated there were words exchanged between the woman and three or four other men.
That’s when Saine became involved in an argument with one of the men and shots were fired.

Saine passed away shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Officials said the gunman fled from the scene in a blue four-door car.
