A victim was recovering from what police called non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Nashville.
The incident allegedly took place after 6 a.m. Saturday at Lafayette Street and University Court.
Authorities said the victim was a white male in his early 50’s. According to the victim, he was walking down the street when he was approached by a black male wearing a bandana, hoodie, and dark pants.
The man allegedly demanded money from the victim, and when the victim refused, an altercation took place.
Gunfire was exchanged, according to reports, and the victim was struck twice in the hip.
He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he underwent surgery.
According to the victim, the incident happened near a bus stop, but officials said they have not been able to find evidence of a crime scene.
