Roads in the Music Row area were closed for several hours due to a water main break.
The repairs were ongoing starting around 2 a.m. Sunday. Officials said a subcontractor touched the main Thursday afternoon and produced a small leak.
A service crew checked on the leak Friday because it was believed to be severe.
Crews thought Sunday morning would be the best time to make repairs because they aim for planned work to give notice and cause the least impact, but it was too late causing an emergency repair crew to respond to the scene early Sunday.
Workers confirmed the only customers affected were those in condos on Demonbreun Street.
Crews completed the repair work by noon Sunday with cleanup and patch work beginning after the repairs.
The Buddy Killen Circle/Music Row traffic roundabout remained closed until officials could determine the safety of the roadway in that area. Authorities said it had reopened Sunday evening.
Temporary repairs had been made to the roundabout with the final restoration of the pavers and roadway scheduled for a later date.
