Wine lovers united to support a good cause in Franklin.

The 16th annual "Wine Down Main Street" featured wine tasting, food samples from area restaurants, and plenty of live music.

Streets were shut down to traffic, so people can navigate downtown Franklin.

Around 2,000 people were expected to participate in the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee.

“A lot of our children come from single parent homes, and might live in poverty,” said Dan Jernigan, President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee. “Through our programs we provide hope and opportunity for those kids.”

The event has raised more than $1.5 million for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee since it started.
