Wednesday's winter weather brought up to three inches of snowfall along the Tennessee-Kentucky border. Further south, freezing was more of an issue for many.

For most areas, the snow was expected to stop falling by Wednesday afternoon. Warmer air was projected to leave Thursday rainy and above freezing.

The second round of snow and freezing rain could move through as early as 4:30 a.m. Friday and last through Saturday morning.

A statement from the Tennessee Department of Transportation said all 95 counties are stocked up with salt, snow plows and brine trucks are ready to roll and employees are set to mobilize to clear roads of snow and ice.

Tuesday afternoon, several Middle Tennessee and Kentucky school districts canceled school on Wednesday. It’s unknown if they would remain closed for the remainder of the week.
