A Lebanon woman has been charged with trying to hire someone to kill her ex-husband.

An investigation by agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began on Tuesday.

Reports stated the TBI began investigating 41-year-old Julia Lane Adams after it was learned she had asked an acquaintance to find someone to kill her ex-husband.

Authorities said Adams met with an undercover agent on Friday when she asked the agent to kill her ex-husband. Reports said she also agreed to pay $5,000.

Friday night, Adams was arrested and charged with one count of solicitation and one count of first degree murder.

Adams was booked into the Wilson County Jail where she was being held without bond on a hold for court.
