Police have asked the public's help in identifying a homicide victim after a man's body was found in the parking lot of a West Nashville trucking company.

The incident was reported around 6:30 a.m. Monday at Western Express, located not far from Centennial Boulevard.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said the victim is an African American male who was dressed as a woman.

He did not have any form of identification on him.

Someone apparently called 9-1-1 after discovering a body in the parking lot. The victim was found near a fleet of trucks.

Although the incident was initially reported as a shooting, police said the trauma did not appear to be gunshot related.

Police said the victim is likely in his late 20s to early 30s. He had the word "Dreaming" tattooed on his inner-left forearm and "Joyce" with musical notes tattooed on his chest.

Autopsy results were pending in the case.

Anyone with information should call Metro Police at 615-862-7385.
