A woman was able to help police catch her alleged robber after she responded to an advertisement on Craigslist.
Officials with Metro police said 45-year-old David Botrous reportedly robbed a woman on the afternoon of December 5.
She told police she met him at a bank on Murfreesboro Road to buy an iPhone 6s.
The alleged victim withdrew $420 from an ATM and reportedly met Botrous to complete the sale. As she was inspecting the phone, police said he grabbed the money from her hand.
Botrous reportedly told the woman, "If you follow me, you are a dead person."
The victim said she was afraid and followed his instructions.
She was able to write down the license plate number, and give police a description of his white Chevrolet truck.
Police said she was able to positively identify Botrous as the man who robbed her. He was charged with robbery.
