An investigation has been ongoing after a woman was killed when she was hit by a car in East Nashville.
Authorities said the incident happened around 7:15 p.m. Saturday on Gallatin Avenue at Greenwood Avenue.
According to reports, the woman was pronounced dead at Skyline Medical Center.
Details on the crash were not immediately released, but authorities confirmed they were testing the driver of the vehicle.
The roadway was shut down in that area while crews investigated at the scene.
