A woman has died after being hit by a pickup truck on West Trinity Lane.
The incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. Friday under the Interstate 65 overpass.
Reports stated the female pedestrian was not in or near a crosswalk. Authorities added that area was dark.
Officials confirmed the driver stopped at the scene and was cooperating with police. He's not facing charges at this time.
The victim’s identity had not been released as the investigation remained ongoing by the Metro Nashville Police Department Crash Investigation Unit.
