A woman had to be rescued after she fell from a ravine in Putnam County.
Multiple agencies were called to a location near Monterey, after family members called 911 Sunday afternoon.
The 54-year-old woman had apparently been rappelling at Bee Rock with her family when she fell.
"We received a 911 call that someone had fallen from a significant height at Bee Rock, and that she was seriously injured," said Putnam County 911 director Mike Thompson.
Rescue teams were able to pull her up using a rope system and a special basket.
As soon as she reached the top of the ravine, she was airlifted to the trauma center at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. Her condition was not known.
