A woman was shot after a suspect allegedly attempted to rob her.
Authorities said the incident happened in the 700 block of Murfreesboro Pike around 12:09 a.m. Sunday.
The woman was driving along Murfreesboro Pike when she turned in to Speedway and was approached by a black male who was on foot.
He attempted to rob her or carjack her, according to police, and a struggle ensued.
The woman was shot in the arm. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
No further details were released.
