An employee at the Nissan Smyrna Manufacturing and Assembly Plant has been injured while at work.
The cause of the incident and the extent of the worker's injuries had not been released. The incident happened Wednesday morning
Those with the plant had only confirmed the incident had happened and said the employee's family had been notified.
Nissan officials released the following statement Wednesday:
"We can confirm that a Smyrna Vehicle Assembly Plant employee was involved in an incident. The employee’s family members have been notified, and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. The safety and well-being of our team members is Nissan’s top priority."
