Two suspects tried to rob a customer at a south Nashville motel before following the person back to his room.

The incident happened early Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a Travelodge on Wallace Road.

Officials with Metro Nashville Police said two suspects were looking into cars in the parking lot when a customer saw them.

Investigators said they approached him, at which point one of them pulled out a handgun and said “give me everything.”

They followed him back to his room and tried to pry their way inside with the gun. The victim slammed the door on one of the suspect’s hands and they ran away.

K9 officers were called to the scene in an attempt to locate them.

Both suspects were wearing blue bandanas over their faces.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME.
