A wrong-way driver sent three people to the hospital, shutting down part of Briley Parkway for several hours.
Police were called around 9:45 p.m. Friday when a driver going westbound in the eastbound lanes hit an SUV head-on near Eatons Creek Road in North Nashville.
Both the wrong-way driver and the people in the SUV were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries. Their conditions were unknown.
Briley Parkway was shut down for several hours while crews worked at the scene. The investigation remained ongoing.
