CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Clarksville man is being sought by police because he stole lottery tickets from several stores, Clarksville police said.

In the past month, there have been upwards of six reported thefts of scratch-off lottery tickets. Clarksville police say they're looking for 47-year-old Mark McMurry as the suspect.

The suspect walks into the business and asks the clerk for an item that requires the clerk leave the front counter. When the clerk leaves, the suspect quickly takes some lottery tickets from behind the counter, stuffs them in his pants and then leaves.

McMurry is described as six feet tall and 260 pounds.

Anyone who sees McMurry is asked to call 911. Anyone with information can call the Tipsline at (931) 645-8477.
