Lower humidity on the way for Labor Day weekend

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Labor Day usually marks the unofficial end to the summer season, and for those who are eager for more fall-type weather Mother Nature is bringing us some cooler temps!

A cold front will move through the area Friday, sparking up some showers and storms during the day, but activity shouldn't be as widespread as what we have seen in previous days. Behind that front, cooler drier air will move in just in time for the holiday weekend!

While I don't suggest breaking out your fall sweaters just yet, we will get a little taste of less humid fall air. Much of this weekend, dew points will be in the 50s meaning it will feel more comfortable outside!

Highs will be in the 80s through the weekend, with plenty of sunshine for your lake or pool plans! The extended outlook over the next several days favors below-average highs for the Mid-State also!
