NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, CSL Plasma in Madison is requesting plasma donations. Compensation for donors is available.

Donors must be in good health, as described in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines.

CSL Plasma says with plasma donations, the patient population with rare and serious diseases can live stronger, more healthy lives.

The collection process can take up to 90 minutes. New donors should provide A government-issued ID, proof of social security number and proof of local residency.

Approved donors will receive compensation of up to $400 a month.

CSL Plasma says they have enacted more protocols on hygiene, like more frequent sanitizing and increased social distancing. Additional screening questions for donors have also been introduced, with the purpose of identifying those who might be at risk of infection. Supplies used in collecting plasma are sterile, as they are only used once.

The Madison location for CSL Plasma is at 820 Madison Square. They can be reached by phone at (615) 865-1246. More information can be found on the company's website.
