MT. JULIET, Tenn. – A large power outage affected a portion of Wilson County Saturday afternoon.
Officials said the outage mostly affected Mt. Juliet. Authorities sent officers to major intersections to help with traffic.
Officials said crews with Middle Tennessee Electric were dispatched to work on the issue. They believed the cause was due to a TVA equipment failure.
Police said there were more than 6,200 customers without power.
Power was restored shortly after 1 p.m.
