FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is accused of assaulting two people on a recreation trail in Franklin on Tuesday night.
Franklin police said as a group of people were walking near Ploughman's Bend Drive in the Chestnut Bend neighborhood, an argument began with 42-year-old Casey Majors, who was out on the trail riding a bike.
Officers said the argument quickly escalated and resulted in Majors punching one of the women in the face. When others came to help her, Majors is accused of pulling out a knife and stabbing a man in the arm.
The man was taken to a trauma center for treatment and later released.
Majors was arrested and charged with assault and aggravated assault. He is no longer in custody after posting the $30,000 bond.
Franklin police said the victims and Major had no previous connection.
