A man has been accused of attacking a Metro Nashville Police officer at his home.
According to an affidavit, the suspect kicked in the door of the officer's Nashville home in the middle of the night.
While the officer went for his firearm, the suspect, identified as Kerrick Hall, allegedly kicked open the front door and started yelling that someone was trying to kill him.
The officer then tried to escort him back outside and called for back-up, that's when Hall allegedly kicked and spat on him.
The officer was able to get him under control. Hall was taken into custody and charged with aggravated burglary.
It's unclear how or why he allegedly targeted the officer in his home. It does not seem like they knew each other.
The incident remained under investigation.
