Man Accused Of Drugging Woman In Sex Trafficking Case

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man, who has been accused of drugging a woman in a human sex trafficking case, has been taken into custody.

According to an affidavit from Metro Police, the suspect has been accused of drugging the woman with heroine and using her as a sex slave. His identity was not immediately known.

He's accused of prostituting the woman in an effort to make money to buy drugs.

Detectives were able to trace the suspect through sexual advertisements placed online. An undercover detective set up a meeting and then took the suspect into custody.

The woman told officers she feared for her life and carried a knife and pepper spray to protect herself, but could never find a way to escape. She’s now getting the help she needs to begin her process of recovery.

The suspect was booked into the Metro Jail on various charges.
