The suspect accused of fatally shooting his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend at a Nashville apartment complex has surrendered to police.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said 28-year-old Pavan Voleti turned himself in on Wednesday.
Voleti has been accused of shooting and killing 31-year-old William Lee III at the Brighton Valley Apartments on Monday.
Officers said Voleti was outside his ex-girlfriend’s apartment when she and Williams got into a car to leave.
Voleti approached them, and after a verbal argument, allegedly fired shots into the vehicle, hitting Williams who was sitting in the front passenger seat.
Williams was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.
