SMYRNA, Tenn. (WTVF) — Smyrna police have asked the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted in connection with an arson investigation.
Police say Roosevelt Robinson IV is wanted for aggravated arson and four counts of attempted criminal homicide after he set fire to his ex-girlfriend’s home at 8:30 p.m. on July 19. The woman and her young children were in the residence at the time, but were not hurt.
"A child heard a disturbance, and alerted the mother who then discovered the fire before it was fully involved," said Capt. Scott Byers, with the Smyrna Fire Department.
The fire did damage the garage.
According to police, Robinson is believed to be in the Nashville area because he has relatives nearby and previously worked in the city.
Robinson was last seen driving a 2012 silver hybrid Hyundai Sonata with temporary tags. Police shared a stock photo of the car.
Investigators say he should be considered dangerous. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation added him to the Most Wanted List. There is a $2,500 reward for information that leads to his arrest.
Anyone with information was asked to call your local police department.
