MADISON, Tenn. (WTVF) — The man accused of shooting a teenager in Nashville on Monday was arrested again on illegal drug charges.

On Monday, Metro police said 25-year-old George Wade III shot a 15-year-old who was driving Wade's girlfriend's stolen car.

Wade and his girlfriend tracked the car to an address north of downtown Nashville where he used his car to box in the stolen car and keep the driver from leaving. Police said the 15-year-old tried to drive away and hit Wade's car before Wade shot at the car several times, hitting the teen in the shoulder.

Wade then drove the teen to the hospital. He was charged with felony aggravated assault for firing shots at the teen.

He was free on a $15,000 bond on Tuesday when he was arrested again by Metro police after an unrelated investigation.

Police said the charges stem from a two month investigation by undercover detectives into illegal drug sales.

Detectives searched two homes on Tuesday as part of the investigation where they seized 15 grams of methamphetamine, 4 grams of cocaine, 289 ecstasy pills, 241 Xanax pills, a bullet proof vest and three handguns.

Wade was found outside one of the homes and was taken into custody. He was then charged with possession with intent to sell meth, cocaine, marijuana and schedule IV and I drugs, as well as, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

He is being held in jail in lieu of a $86,000 bond.
