SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WTVF) — Three people were killed in a Springfield murder-suicide Tuesday.
Robertson County Sheriff's Office detectives are investigating the deaths of 62-year-old Sherry Green, 74-year-old Matthew Green and the suicide of 51-year-old Joseph Scott Green at a home on Green Road.
Deputies responded to a call of a possible gunshot wound. Once at the scene, they found the suspect, Joseph Scott Green dead in the back yard with a firearm nearby, and his stepmother and father dead inside the home.
Officials said in a press release that they found evidence and a note indicating that the family had been having recent domestic family issues leading up to the homicide and suicide.
