A Clarksville man was arrested on theft charges for allegedly stealing from a charity foundation.

Investigators with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested 68-year-old Gary Michael Griffey.

A complaint was filed against Griffey's business, Griffey and Associates. The business was employed by Clarksville Charitable Educational Foundation, Inc., to manage rental property owned by the Foundation.

However, according to the TBI, Griffey had retained rental proceeds from the Foundation from 2008 through 2012.

On September 9, the Montgomery County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Griffey with one count of Theft over $10,000 and one count of Conspiracy to Commit Theft over $10,000.

He turned himself in at the Montgomery County Jail Monday and was booked. He was then released after posting a $15,000 bond.
