After two people suffered non-fatal drug overdoses, a Rutherford County man was arrested on a heroin-related charge.
Officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and detectives with the Murfreesboro Police Department said 35-year-old Richard Dale Bain was arrested in relation to the case.
Two people overdosed on Friday, and reports stated heroin recovered from those two victims tested positive for the presence of fentanyl.
An investigation identified the source of the heroin, and a search warrant at a home on North Academy Street turned up additional heroin.
Bain was taken into custody Friday night. He was charged with one count of possession of schedule I. Reports stated Bain was booked into the Rutherford County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
