NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A man was placed behind bars accused of firing shots at an apartment complex and almost hitting an officer with his car while trying to get away.
Police said they were called out to an apartment complex on Antioch Pike and Bridgeway Drive early Thursday night because the suspect who fired shots in the same complex a week earlier had returned.
The suspect, identified as Jesus Sigala, drove away, but the officer followed him to a home on McCall Street near Antioch Pike.
Police said Sigala refused to get out of his vehicle and allegedly put his SUV in reverse, backing into a police car.
Officers on scene said he put his vehicle back in drive and faced the tires toward the officer; however, he was not able to drive because his vehicle got stuck on the police car.
Sigala was taken into custody, and police said they found cocaine and a gun in his vehicle.
He was facing a long list of charges including reckless endangerment, possession of cocaine, and evading arrest.
