NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man remains in the Davidson County Jail Tuesday after police arrested him for allegedly firing a gun during a road rage incident.
In the affidavit for Dennis Lee, the victim told police it started on Ellington Parkway. He was about to get off at the exit for Briarville Road as Lee merged on. Police said Lee pulled up beside the victim, yelling and throwing his hands up aggressively.
He followed the victim off at the exit. When the victim stopped at the intersection of West Due West and Saunders Avenues, the victim says Lee pulled up to him again and fired one bullet.
The victim called police and showed officers the bullet hole that went through both the driver and passenger windows. After seeing a photo of Lee's car, officers made a traffic stop in Madison about three miles away. Police said a semi automatic handgun was found inside of Lee's car.
The affidavit does not say what, if anything, caused Lee's reaction. He's facing a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. Any of his prior arrests were drivers license-related issues.
