Murfreesboro man arrested after robbing three convenience stores with BB gun

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man wanted for robbing several convenience stores with a BB gun over the past week and a half has been arrested.

According to Murfreesboro police, 29-year-old Mark Longmire, Jr. robbed a Mapco Mart BP twice, a Mapco Mart and Smoke Vape & Pipe - all on Memorial Blvd. - between October 11 and October 19.

Longmire was arrested when he robbed the Mapco Mart BP a second time. That store's clerk gave police a description of the robber just before 2 a.m. on October 19. Officers found that man nearby shortly after, identifying him as Longmire and arresting him.

"I am thankful for the hard work and investigative efforts by our officers in identifying and arresting this suspect, said Murfreesboro Police Chief Michael Bowen. "As of this time, we are able to solve at least four robberies with one arrest."

Longmire is charged with four counts of aggravated robbery and one count of aggravated kidnapping.
