Man in custody after small fire at Nashville's Birch Building

A man was arrested overnight after a small fire was reported at the Birch building in downtown Nashville. 

The incident was reported around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the building located on 2nd Avenue. 

Officials confirmed there was a small fire in a trash can. Crews were able to extinguish it without any incident. 

One man was seen being handcuffed and was placed into a police cruiser. His name was not released. 

No additional details were known.
