NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man has been arrested after smashing out windows of vehicles with a crow bar in the area of Fatherland Street early Thursday morning.

Police were dispatched to Fatherland Street near S 11th when it was reported that someone was vandalizing cars.

When officers arrived, they located 12 vehicles that had recent damage to their windows. They then made contact with the suspect who was visibly sweating and breathing heavily.

The man matched the description of the suspect that had been originally been given to police when a witness called in before they arrived to the scene. This witness also had security video of some of the incident, allowing police to positively identify the suspect.

Reginald Thomas, Jr. was then taken into police custody.
