NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Nashville Fire Department charged a man with arson after they say he set fire to a building in downtown Nashville.

Fire officials say 39-year-old Joshua Baker set a fire in a building on the 200 block of 6th Avenue North on New Year's Eve.

When firefighters responded to the call, they found multiple fires on the second floor of the building - an area used mostly for storage. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which officials say caused extensive internal damage. They also found other fire locations including the bathroom, near a rear wall, in a trash can and in a mini refrigerator.

NFD investigators arrested Baker and charged him with Felony Arson. He remains in custody at the Davidson County Detention Center on $75,000 bond.
