NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man was arrested for carrying luggage with nearly 70 pounds of marijuana at Nashville Airport from a flight out of San Jose, according to an arrest affidavit.
A K9 with Nashville Airport Police indicated two large, black suitcases, both of which had tags belonging to Dnedric Kelly.
Both suitcases were placed on a baggage belt. Airport detectives in street clothes approached the man who claimed the luggage, who was identified as 28-year-old Dnedric Kelly.
Kelly and his bags were taken to an office. The suitcases were searched, and inside of them, airport officers found comforters and 69 pounds of marijuana in individually packaged, vacuum-sealed bags.
Kelly is charged with felony drug possession, and is being held on a $75,000 bond.
