NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — According to Metro Police Charles York Jr. crashed his 2012 Mazda CX-9 early Saturday morning killing his passenger, 47-year old Tricia Johnson.
The crash happened in the 4800 block of Alvin Sperry Road when York drove off the road and hit a tree. Johnson was not wearing her seatbelt and died at the scene.
York allegedly showed signs of impairment, smelled like alcohol, and admitted to drinking and taking medication before the crash. He is being charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication and unlawful drug possession. He's being held on a $15,000 bond.
